Privacy policy

Crown & Calamity collects no personal information while you play. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking, and it does not use your contacts, location, photos, camera, or microphone.
- In the game: your Campaign, decks, records, and options are kept in the game on your PC, iPhone, or Android device.
- Buying on this website: Stripe handles the payment and emails your receipt. We receive your email address, your billing address (it sets the sales tax or VAT), and what you bought, to send your download link again if you ask and to answer you about your purchase; your card details go to Stripe, never to us. Stripe handles them under its own privacy policy.
- Game Center (iPhone): if you are signed in to Game Center, the game keeps a copy of your progress as a Game Center saved game in your own iCloud, and reports the achievements you earn to Game Center. Apple handles these under its own privacy policy; we cannot see them.
- Online duels: when you duel someone online in the iPhone, Android, or Windows app, our relay (run on Cloudflare) passes your online name, which the game makes up (such as "Ironworks Duelist 27"), the picture you chose from the game's own, your deck, and your moves to your opponent, and theirs to you. It keeps them only while the duel goes on (at most two hours after the last move) so that nothing is lost if your connection drops, then deletes them. It sees your device's network address while you are connected, uses it only to limit repeated tries, and keeps no record of it or of who played. There are no accounts, and no chat. iPhone versions before the relay used Game Center to carry the same things, with your Game Center name.
- Updates (Windows): the copy bought on this website asks crownandcalamity.com whether a newer version is out when it starts, and when you choose to check in Options. The request carries nothing about you beyond what any web request does. The Microsoft Store copy is updated by the Store instead.
- This website: it uses no cookies and no analytics. Like any website, it is delivered by a hosting provider (Cloudflare), which handles each visit's request to send the page. The page for finding a lost download link counts tries by your IP address, a minute at a time, so receipt numbers cannot be guessed; we do not keep it.
- Children: the game collects nothing from anyone, children included.
- Email: if you write to support, your message and address are used only to answer you.
